Homework is a vital part of a child’s education.  It provides opportunities to further their understanding of work they have completed in class and also enables them to develop important skills such as the ability to study and work independently.

The timetable shows the evenings the students are expected to complete the homework.  Occasionally the homework may be set on a different day as the students are taught at different times, but they will be given sufficient time to complete the homework on the appropriate night.

Students must make a note of their homework tasks in their planners.

Homework also helps parents and carers to follow the school work that their child is completing.  I know that you take a keen interest in your child’s progress and would urge you to play a role in overseeing the tasks your child is given to complete at home.

Mathswatch Revision

maths watch.pngMathswatch is a fantastic online resource where students can  watch revision videos and complete online worksheets to revise their maths skills to support them to reach their full potential in the subject. To log on students need to visit www.vle.mathswatch.co.uk and use the log in details found on their maths planner page.

Should you have any concerns with homework, these should be addressed in the first instance to your child’s Head of Year. Thank you for your continued support.
