Interactive NHS Careers - 6th December

Students in year 9 took part in an interactive NHS careers event at Stafford showground on 22nd November. They were able to meet with ambassadors from almost 100 NHS careers, universities and apprenticeship providers. There were practical demonstrations where we were even able to ‘deliver a baby’ and we found out about careers that we had never even heard of, such as medical simulation with students receiving fake wounds to take home with them!

KMF Young Engineer 2018

After the success of last year's KMF Lego project, we are taking part in the 2018 Kit Car build project, with a new team of enthusiastic students. At the start of the year KMF and representatives from our sponsor, Michlin, came into school to launch this year's project to our year 10 students. Since then a team of students was assembled, with the help of Mr Williams, our Head of Technology.

Year 7 Welcome Mass

This week our year 7's had their first Mass here at STMCA and were joined by some of their primary teachers and parents. It was fantastic to welcome the students to what is a regular and very important part of our school life.

Year 7 & 8 Rewards

This school year, our year 7 and 8 students are part of an exciting new rewards system, which recognises and rewards students with excellent attendance, behaviour and effort in class. Each half term, the team from 'Cine bowl & I-Skate' in Uttoxeter, who run the campaign, come into school with free tickets to their various events, for the prize winning students in that half term.
