KMF Young Engineer Competition - 22nd June

Last week a group of our year 10's took part in the KMF young engineer of the year competition. It all began back in October when our team of young engineers attended the launch day, where they were briefed and received their build kits, for the hard work to come.

Our fantastic STMCA team, made up of Dan, Safwan, Hassan, Jeslin, Jai, Jacob, Kuba and Mikael, then set about the hard work of building, testing and improving their design over the next 8 months, giving up much of their own time to make progress.

Come June and it was time to put their work to the test in the semi finals. Mr Williams, who mentored and guided the students through the whole project, took the team to NULC to battle it out against the other 24 schools taking part. After a long day of tasks and challenges, the students were awarded the title for 'Best Designed Robot', a brillaint and well deserved achievement. We are extremely proud of the hard work and time each of the team members put into this project and finishing 8th in the overall ranking is incredibly impressive.
